Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Paul Sartre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Spade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sartre comes into the arena with Heartbeats blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Scott Spade was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Spade!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sartre avoids the body shot from Spade.

Spade closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sartre circles away.
Spade avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Spade goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Jean Paul Sartre has been cut.
Spade rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sartre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sartre throws a sloppy head kick and Spade moves out of range easily.
Spade lands with a kick to the temple. Sartre shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sartre lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sartre misses with a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sartre attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Sartre wants to clinch up but Spade keeps it at a distance.
Sartre is looking to clinch but Spade is avoiding it.
Spade throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sartre turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A left lands for Sartre.
Sartre scores with a shot to the body.
Jean Paul Sartre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sartre.
Sartre works Spade's body with a nice hook.

Sartre forces Spade back against the cage and clinches.
Sartre digs a right hand into Spade's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Spade's gas tank.

Sartre pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sartre scores with a leg kick.
Sartre connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Sartre is looking to chop away at Spade's legs.
Sartre misses with a few strikes there.
Sartre lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Spade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sartre swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sartre stuns Spade with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sartre jabs Spade to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Sartre clinches up with Spade and pushes him back against the cage.
Spade dodges an elbow strike from Sartre.

Spade wants to break free but Sartre has control.
Spade's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Spade takes an elbow to the forehead.
Sartre looking to throw knees to the head but Spade is blocking nicely.

Spade manages to break the clinch.

Oooooh!!! Sartre has knocked Spade down with a huge combo! Sartre steps away and waves a wobbly Spade back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Spade is rocked!
Sartre steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Spade is out on his feet! Sartre sets himself and nearly takes Spade's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jean Paul Sartre!
