Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Austin Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Rizzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Fowler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Rizzi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzi darts in and clinches Fowler up against the ropes. Rizzi turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Rizzi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fowler keeps working. Fowler managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rizzi.
Rizzi stands up and beckons Fowler to his feet. Rizzi clinches. Fowler manages to pull guard.
Rizzi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fowler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rizzi stands up and waves to Fowler to follow him. Rizzi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Fowler keeping moving, preventing Rizzi from controlling successfully. Fowler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rizzi is aware though and is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Rizzi throws a strike but Fowler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Fowler wants to control from the top but Rizzi keeps moving. Fowler lands a couple of digs. Fowler wants to control from the top but Rizzi keeps moving. Fowler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fowler trying to control but Rizzi is working from the bottom. Fowler showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fowler in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rizzi keeping moving, preventing Fowler from controlling successfully. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fowler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rizzi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Austin Fowler wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rizzi has closed the distance and engaged Fowler in a clinch.
Fowler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fowler pulls Rizzi into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fowler is keeping the position for now. Fowler has his foot on Rizzi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rizzi works his way back into a safe position though. Rizzi throwing strikes but missing. Fowler pushes a forearm under Rizzi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rizzi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Austin Fowler! Austin Fowler seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
