The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze with a poor takedown
and Penaflorida counters with a nice right hand that sends Haze toppling to the canvas! Haze scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Penaflorida finish him?!
It looks like Danny Haze has been cut.

Penaflorida prevents the takedown attempt.
Penaflorida wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Haze has him pressed against the cage.
Haze has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Penaflorida is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Haze. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haze has Penaflorida pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Penaflorida manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Haze is breathing heavily.
Haze tries to pull guard but Penaflorida forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Haze has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Penaflorida is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Penaflorida escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Penaflorida steps in with a hook that catches Haze right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Penaflorida follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Haze looks absolutely devastated.
