Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Palluch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Palluch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thurgood Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palluch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Palluch slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palluch is looking to advance position but Jenkins won't allow it. Palluch is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jenkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Palluch. Jenkins is in trouble now - Palluch has advanced to mount! Palluch is working for a guillotine from mount but Jenkins frees his head quite easily.
Palluch working for a submission but Jenkins is keeping him at bay. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenkins can do anything to dispel that myth. Palluch has hold of Jenkins's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jenkins manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jenkins sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins tries to get to full guard but Palluch has control of the leg. Palluch is looking for a kimura but Jenkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Palluch to get the leverage. Palluch is breathing heavily. Jenkins trying to control here.
Jenkins flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jenkins wants to control but Palluch is keeping busy.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Palluch tries to move into range but Jenkins moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Palluch shoots in but Jenkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jenkins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jenkins wants to control from the top but Palluch keeps moving. Palluch tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jenkins controlling from the top position. Jenkins lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jenkins stopping the sweep attempt from Palluch. Jenkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palluch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Palluch keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. Jenkins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Palluch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palluch working for a triangle but Jenkins defends it easily.
Palluch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jenkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jenkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Palluch looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jenkins slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Palluch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jenkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jenkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Palluch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palluch looking for a guillotine here but Jenkins defends easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Palluch tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Palluch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jenkins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Palluch looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jenkins is defending well. Palluch quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jenkins has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Palluch celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
