Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Randels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burgundy has chosen Die With Your Boots On as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Randels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Burgundy! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burgundy lands with a good body shot. Randels takes the fight into the clinch. Randels looking to throw knees to the head but Burgundy is blocking nicely.
Burgundy working hard to break the clinch. Randels tries to score a body lock takedown but Burgundy shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Randels gets a trip takedown into half guard. Burgundy is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Randels is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Randels scoring with strikes to the body and head. Burgundy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Randels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Burgundy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burgundy pushes Randels off looking to stand but Randels dives back in and keeps control.
Burgundy tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Randels could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Randels stops Burgundy from getting back to his feet.
Randels working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Burgundy is trying to stand.
Randels seems to be looking for submissions.
Randels thows a huge punch but Burgundy dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burgundy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Randels missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Randels seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Randels trying to control from half guard but Burgundy is working away. Randels working Burgundy over with strikes. Burgundy is trying to control but can't.
Randels looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Randels is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Burgundy is trying to stand up here but Randels is controlling him well. Burgundy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Burgundy looks gassed! Randels is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Burgundy!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Randels lands a heavy elbow. Randels controlling the pace for now. Burgundy somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Randels closes the distance and clinches up with Burgundy, looking for a takedown. Randels pushes Burgundy against the cage but Burgundy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ron Burgundy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Randels shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burgundy defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Randels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Randels misses with a takedown attempt - Burgundy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Burgundy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Tom Randels has been cut. Randels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burgundy as he jumps to the side. Burgundy displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burgundy lunges at Randels with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Randels's hand. Burgundy throws a push kick but Randels slaps the foot to one side. Burgundy throws a right and a left that Randels avoids nicely. Burgundy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Burgundy lands with a nice combination. Randels backs away looking to recover. Burgundy misses with a head kick.

Burgundy connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Randels shoots in for a takedown but Burgundy shows good takedown defense. Burgundy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Randels darts in and clinches Burgundy up against the cage. Burgundy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Randels goes for a takedown in the clinch but Burgundy prevents it.
Randels tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burgundy smiles and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgundy ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Randels looks for a takedown but Burgundy sprawls well. Burgundy scores with a crisp jab that stopped Randels in his tracks. Sloppy strikes from Burgundy. Those never looked like landing. Randels takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action! Randels tries to bum rush Burgundy with a series of wild strikes but Burgundy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Burgundy feints a jab promting Randels to slip. Burgundy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Randels slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Randels takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Randels pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burgundy scores to the head and body with a nice combination! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randels fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burgundy avoids it really well and circles away. Burgundy throws a right and a left that both miss. Randels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burgundy as he jumps to the side. Burgundy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Burgundy lands with a kick to the temple. Randels shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Randels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burgundy is fending him off so far but Randels persists. Nope, Burgundy circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Randels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burgundy swinging wildly here.
Burgundy lands with a slapping head kick. Burgundy throws a right hand that Randels ducks under and follows up with a left that Randels also avoids with ease. Randels has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Randels shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Burgundy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgundy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Randels. Burgundy looks to land a body kick but Randels moved away. Randels shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tom Randels is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Randels shoots in looking for a takedown. Burgundy tries to sprawl out of it but Randels keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burgundy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Burgundy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Randels under the eye. Randels with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Burgundy to score with a decent uppercut. Good standup being displayed there by Burgundy as he connects with a hook. Randels blocks a head kick by Burgundy.
Burgundy looks to land a combination but Randels avoids it well. Randels closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Burgundy's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Randels wants to control from the top but Burgundy keeps moving. Burgundy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randels scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Randels might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Randels throwing strikes but missing. Randels postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burgundy wants to get back to his feet but Randels is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Randels has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Randels showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Randels won't allow Burgundy to get back to his feet. Randels not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Randels gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Burgundy misses with a series of wild punches.

Burgundy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Burgundy wants it to stay on the feet. Some wild striking there from Burgundy.
Burgundy takes one to the chin there. Ron Burgundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burgundy cracks a nice hook into Randels's ribs. Randels gets a double leg takedown into Burgundy's guard. Randels throws a big right hand that misses. Randels stops Burgundy from standing up. Randels landing with the ground and pound. Randels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Randels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgundy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Burgundy pushes Randels off and scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burgundy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Randels was well out of range. Poor timing from Burgundy. Burgundy misses with a wild body shot. Burgundy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Randels throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burgundy's waist but Burgundy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Randels off to one side. Randels shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burgundy but Burgundy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Randels dodges the punch combination from Burgundy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Burgundy tries to land a body kick and Randels counters with a shoot takedown. Burgundy fights it but they end up in guard. Tom Randels overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Burgundy wants to get back to his feet but Randels is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Randels is looking to work some ground and pound but Burgundy has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randels manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burgundy on his heels. He'll look to pass Burgundy's guard now, I'm sure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burgundy throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Randels working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Burgundy scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Burgundy is working an open guard so Randels takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Burgundy leaves Randels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Burgundy has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Burgundy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Randels doesn't seem bothered though. Burgundy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Randels looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Burgundy! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Randels scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Burgundy wants to try and get back to his feet. Randels tries to control but Burgundy wriggling away. Randels working Burgundy over with strikes here. Burgundy swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Randels in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Burgundy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Randels trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Randels showed his dominance in that final round. I think Randels has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
