Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Esa Tikkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Caj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esa Tikkanen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Esa Tikkanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Caj!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tikkanen doesn't manage to clinch there - Caj circles away.
Caj slips under a jab.
Caj keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Caj tries to clinch but Tikkanen moves out of range.
Tikkanen thows a body shot but no joy.

Tikkanen scores a takedown into full mount!
Tikkanen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Caj tries to hold on but Tikkanen pushes him away.

Caj is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tikkanen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tikkanen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Caj wants to hold on but Tikkanen pushes him away.

Tikkanen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Caj has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Caj!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tikkanen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tikkanen has Caj pulled in close to control his posture.
Tikkanen controls Caj momentarily but Caj frees himself.

Caj decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tikkanen, up you get!

Tikkanen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Caj flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Tikkanen is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Caj has managed to free his arm - good work.

Tikkanen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Caj for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Caj is bucking up trying to escape but Tikkanen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Caj is looking to get back to full guard here but Tikkanen has managed to pass to side control instead.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Tikkanen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Tikkanen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Caj wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tikkanen is now in half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tikkanen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Caj looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tikkanen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
