The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylosis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cane quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cane is doing well to control the position and prevent Sylosis from advancing to side control.
Cane moves into full guard.
Sylosis wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Cane's closed guard. He's half up but Cane has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Cane pivots and extends the arm, Sylosis falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Cane! Well done that man!
