Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Catfish Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Sub Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davis circles away.
Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with an inside leg kick.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Davis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.
Jones has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Davis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Davis is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Davis has managed to sneak the leg through.
Davis wants to stand up but Jones is controlling the position.
Davis is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Davis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Davis's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones keeps control of the position as Davis tries to break free.
Jones gets his hands free as Davis looks to control.
Jones is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Davis knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Davis for a finish.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davis is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Jones gets caught flat footed, as Davis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jones is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Davis rolls with it to try and escape but Jones cranks on the arm and Davis is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
