Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vit Kana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leland Chapman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kana fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chapman, pushing him back against the cage.

Kana breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chapman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kana ducks under a wild hook from Chapman.
Chapman tries to clinch there but Kana circles away.
Chapman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A swing and a miss from Chapman.
Kana takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Vit Kana has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chapman throws a lazy uppercut

and Kana counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chapman's guard now.
Kana trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kana is working hard here to advance position.
Kana pushes down on Chapman's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kana tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chapman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kana is working for a submission of some sort.
Chapman is looking for a sweep. Kana is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kana looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kana is working for a kimura here but Chapman manages to reverse the position and he's now in Kana's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chapman with a flurry of punches that miss.
Chapman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Chapman stopping the sweep attempt from Kana.
Kana is trying to keep Chapman in close.
Chapman throws a big right hand that misses.
Kana looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kana looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Chapman is looking to work some ground and pound but Kana has wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chapman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kana is adopting a defensive guard.
Chapman throwing strikes from guard but Kana blocks nicely.

Kana working for a triangle but Chapman defends it easily.
Kana is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kana is working for a kimura but Chapman is defending it quite comfortably.

Kana seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kana is looking for submissions but instead, Chapman has regained full guard.

Kana postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chapman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kana, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chapman landing with the ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chapman wanted to stand there but Kana had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vit Kana will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Vit Kana's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Chapman swings widly with a right hand
and Kana counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Leland Chapman has been cut.
Kana walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kana shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chapman throws a jab but it's blocked by Kana.
Kana swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kana avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chapman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kana is looking to clinch.
Chapman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chapman throws a jab when Kana was well out of range.
Kana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chapman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chapman throws a hook but Kana blocks it.
Kana is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kana pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Chapman jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chapman jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Kana closes the distance and clinches.
Kana jumps guard but Chapman turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kana has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Chapman after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vit Kana. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kana wants to take the fight to the mat but Chapman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kana has Chapman pressed against the cage, preventing Chapman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Chapman is pressed up against the cage. Kana has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chapman down to the mat. Chapman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kana drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kana staying out of range there.
Chapman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chapman fails to land with a series of punches.

Chapman lands a big uppercut and Kana crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kana looks OK. Chapman waves Kana back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kana walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Chapman! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leland Chapman!
