PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Power might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Survivor - Eyes of The Tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Power! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Falcon! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falcon fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice jab there from Falcon. Power misses with a hook. Falcon ducked under it nicely. Power fails with an attempt to clinch.
Falcon scores with a body shot.
Power is trying hard to land a takedown here. Falcon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Power shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Falcon pinned against the cage. Falcon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Power throws a hook but Falcon blocks it. A left and a right from Falcon both land. Nice combination. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Power stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Falcon. Falcon lands a nice hook to Power's body. Power takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Power has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Power there as he acknowledges the shot. Falcon scores with a hook to the body. Power takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Power looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Power throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Falcon punishes Power's body with a nice straight punch. Power is breathing heavily. Power shoots for a takedown but Falcon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Falcon scores with a crisp jab that stopped Power in his tracks. Power on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A slapping leg kick lands for Falcon.
A solid leg kick lands there for Falcon.
Falcon lands a jab. Falcon looks to land a combination. Power sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Falcon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Falcon cracks a nice hook into Power's ribs. Nice body punch from Falcon. Falcon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Power is rocked! This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Power. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Falcon lands a glancing blow to the side of Power's head. Oh Power is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Falcon connects with a superb combination that knocks Power out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Falcon before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Power!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adam Falcon! Adam Falcon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
