0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xavier Perters! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Perters. Perters fails to land the takedown. Perters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Simon Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Perters. Taylor attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Perters defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taylor. Taylor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taylor wants it to stay on the feet. Perters takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Perters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perters off to one side. Perters dives in and grabs Taylor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes down on Perters's head and hops out. Perters fails with an attempt to clinch.
Taylor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Taylor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perters misses with a takedown attempt and Taylor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Taylor being controlled here momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Taylor goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The fight stays on the outside here - Perters looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Taylor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Taylor then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Perters slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Taylor darts in and clinches Perters up against the cage. Taylor is trying to break the clinch but Perters has him pressed against the cage.
Taylor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Taylor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perters swats him away and circles back towards the center. Perters shoots for a double leg takedown but Taylor sprawls well. He's pushed Perters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Xavier Perters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Simon Taylor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Perters drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
