Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Star Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Destin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amir Destin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amir Destin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Destin pinned against the cage. Destin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fighter gets tackled into the cage by Destin. Destin maintains the clinch.

Destin breaks the clinch.
Destin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Destin wants it to stay on the feet.
Fighter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Destin's waist but Destin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Star Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Destin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fighter sprawls well initially but Destin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Fighter regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fighter being controlled here, momentarily.
Fighter looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Destin lands a couple of elbows.

Fighter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Destin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Destin passes Fighter's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Destin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Fighter tries to roll over but Destin keeps him under control.
Fighter is breathing heavily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Destin drops an elbow to the side of Fighter's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter has hold of Destin's hands but Destin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fighter wants to improve his position but Destin is controlling well.
Destin works his way into side control.
Destin controlling the position from side mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Destin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Destin decides to stand back up.
Destin misses with a double jab.

Destin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fighter's half guard.
Destin content to control rather than advance.
Let's hope that Destin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Destin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fighter has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fighter on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Destin lands a nice short elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Destin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Destin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amir Destin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Destin lands with a slapping head kick.

Destin looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Destin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter is trying to control the position but Destin postures up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Destin takes the fight into the clinch.

Destin has picked Fighter up - he's going for a ride! Destin dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Destin slips a nice elbow through Fighter's hands, connecting with Fighter's forehead.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Destin in particular looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter is looking for a sweep. Destin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fighter is working hard here to advance position.
Destin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fighter!

Fighter wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Destin scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Fighter is looking for a way out.

Destin throwing damaging strikes from the back! Fighter could be in trouble here!

Destin has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Fighter is in real trouble here. Destin gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Fighter is tapping out! Destin wins by rear naked choke!
