Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christopher Wallase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Malchik Spalchik!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spalchik fails with the takedown.

Spalchik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wallase's guard.
Spalchik tries to free his leg and advance position but Wallase is retaining full guard.
Spalchik trying to control but Wallase is working from the bottom.

Spalchik slips nicely into half guard.
Spalchik prevents Wallase from standing back up.

The fighters are battling for position here. Wallase manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Wallase keeping moving, preventing Spalchik from controlling successfully.
Spalchik is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Wallase seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Christopher Wallase.
Spalchik fails with the takedown

and Wallase counters by moving into the clinch.
Wallase lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Malchik Spalchik has been cut.
Spalchik goes for a takedown attempt but Wallase pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Christopher Wallase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malchik Spalchik.

Wallase clinches.

Wallase breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Wallase moves into the clinch.

Wallase gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Spalchik regains guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wallase in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spalchik avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Spalchik has momentary wrist control but Wallase slips an elbow through the middle.
Spalchik is trying to control the position but Wallase postures up.
Spalchik looks gassed!
Wallase landing with the ground and pound.
Wallase cracks Spalchik with a solid left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wallase postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Spalchik is looking for a triangle but Wallase pushes his legs off easily.

Spalchik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wallase defends well.
Wallase slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Spalchik manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wallase's best efforts.

Wallase scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Wallase landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Wallase slips a nice elbow through Spalchik's hands, connecting with Spalchik's forehead.


Spalchik is rocked!
Spalchik should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Wallase lands a big elbow - Spalchik is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Wallase!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Christopher Wallase!
