Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Slash Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by T.N.T - AC/DC. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots and misses

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Jones lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Silva down.

Silva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jones has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva tries to improve position but can't.

Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.

Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.

Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from.

Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.

Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Jones is looking to advance position but Silva has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Jones is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Silva locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Jones is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Slash Silva!
Slash Silva is the new middleweight champion!
Slash Silva decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
