Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Japan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey Japan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Micheal Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joey Japan! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall stuffs the takedown. Hall walks into a left hand. Hall with a poor takedown and Japan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Japan tries to score a body lock takedown but Hall shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Japan pulls guard. Hall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hall trying to move into half guard but instead Japan has managed to sweep! Hall throws his legs up looking for a submission but Japan uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Japan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hall down.
Hall looking for a sweep but Japan has passed into full mount! Oh no! Hall keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hall is working hard here to advance position. Japan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hall is surviving well by controlling Japan's body position as best he can. Japan tries to control but Hall wriggling away. Japan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hall taking shots to the head. Japan trying to control but Hall is having none of it. Hall is in all sorts of trouble here.
Japan controlling his opponent. Japan lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Hall is desperately trying to improve his position but Japan has a good base and remains in mount. Japan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hall is trying to escape the mount.
Japan looking to control but Hall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hall manages to regain half guard. Good work. Hall is breathing heavily. Hall regains full guard. Nicely done. Hall keeping full guard, as Japan tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Japan manages to get himself to full guard.
Japan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hall is not content to let Japan control the position. Hall is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Japan moves into full mount! Hall won't be happy about that! Hall can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Japan breaks from Hall's wrist control and lands an elbow. Japan wants to control the pace but Hall is squirming around nicely. Hall regains half guard. Japan is looking for a kimura here.
Japan lands with a punch from half guard. Hall gets back to full guard.
Hall has his foot on Japan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Japan works his way back into a safe position though. Japan looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joey Japan dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Japan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hall counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Japan's guard now. Hall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Japan is keeping the position for now. Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Japan striking off his back but it's not causing Hall any problems. Hall drops back looking for a leg! Japan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Japan manages to kick Hall off! Hall jumps back into Japan's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hall tries to free his leg and advance position but Japan is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Japan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hall is one step ahead there. Hall advances position into side control! Hall has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Japan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hall yanks on the arm and Japan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hall.
