Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Felipe Pacquiao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dick Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Pacquiao gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Johnson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Johnson stands up from Pacquiao's guard - Johnson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Pacquiao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pacquiao gets a double leg takedown into Johnson's guard.
Pacquiao looking to pass the guard.
Pacquiao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pacquiao trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Johnson keeping full guard, as Pacquiao tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson controls Pacquiao momentarily but Pacquiao frees himself.
Johnson wants to hit a switch here but Pacquiao passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Johnson there!

Pacquiao working for a submission but Johnson is keeping him at bay.

Pacquiao get's back to his feet.
Pacquiao's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pacquiao duly obliges.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Johnson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Johnson wants to take a breather but Pacquiao is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pacquiao actively working from the bottom here.

Pacquiao is trying to control but Johnson passes into side control!

Johnson is trying to get an arm triangle but Pacquiao is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Pacquiao takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

You can see the frustration on Pacquiao's face as Johnson controls the position.
Pacquiao tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson stands up and beckons Pacquiao to his feet.
Pacquiao fails with a takedown attempt.
Pacquiao is breathing heavily.
Nice sprawl there from Johnson as Pacquiao shoots in.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johnson scores with a nice hook to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Johnson has managed to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dick Johnson dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pacquiao moves out of range as Johnson throws a body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Johnson pulls guard successfully.
Pacquiao is fighting to break Johnson's control of his arms but Johnson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pacquiao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson pushes Pacquiao off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pacquiao fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson throws a sloppy head kick and Pacquiao moves out of range easily.
Pacquiao tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnson has a takedown stuffed.
Pacquiao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Pacquiao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pacquiao connects with an inside leg kick.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Pacquiao with that takedown attempt.
Pacquiao wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Johnson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Pacquiao is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Pacquiao trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
Pacquiao is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Felipe Pacquiao has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pacquiao.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felipe Pacquiao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pacquiao gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Johnson wants to stand but Pacquiao is controlling his posture from full guard.
Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Pacquiao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pacquiao tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Pacquiao keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dick Johnson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Pacquiao tries to clinch up.
Pacquiao looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Pacquiao shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson rushes Pacquiao and presses him up against the cage.

Johnson pulls Pacquiao into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dick Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Pacquiao looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pacquiao as he avoids it easily.
Johnson's corner calls for a 1-2. Johnson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Horrible takedown by Pacquiao or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pacquiao misses with a jab, cross combination.
An inside leg kick lands from Pacquiao.
Pacquiao shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson dives in and grabs Pacquiao's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pacquiao pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.
Pacquiao pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Johnson back to the cage. Pacquiao follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Pacquiao fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felipe Pacquiao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson darts in and clinches Pacquiao up against the cage.
Stalling in the clinch from Johnson.
Pacquiao tries to land knees in the clinch but Johnson avoids the damage to the body.

Pacquiao tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.
Felipe Pacquiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson lands with a thumping leg kick.

Good leg kick by Johnson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pacquiao is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Johnson closes the distance and pushes Pacquiao back into the cage.

Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Pacquiao shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pacquiao's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pacquiao has escaped the position, nice work there.

Pacquiao is trying to improve his position.
Pacquiao is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it.

Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Pacquiao get back to his feet.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pacquiao moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.

Pacquiao looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pacquiao's guard.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Pacquiao keeps moving.

Pacquiao looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Johnson is defending well. Pacquiao quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Johnson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pacquiao celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Felipe Pacquiao!
