Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deloris Bookake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benoit's entrance music is New Noise. A fine choice. The key to victory for Andrew Benoit has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Benoit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deloris Bookake!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benoit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bookake avoids it really well and circles away.

Benoit closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bookake quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bookake is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Benoit jumps into side control!
Bookake can't do much from the bottom here.
Benoit looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bookake is avoiding damage well.

Andrew Benoit has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Benoit is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bookake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bookake closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Benoit did well to prevent Bookake getting side control.

Bookake is working Benoit over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bookake postures up in Benoit's guard and throws a big left but Benoit blocks it.
Bookake looking to sit in guard and control but Benoit gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bookake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benoit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Benoit.
Bookake shoots in but Benoit avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Andrew Benoit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deloris Bookake.

Bookake shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Benoit manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benoit manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bookake can't escape the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Benoit can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bookake is looking to escape.
Benoit is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bookake is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Benoit sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andrew Benoit just wasn't active enough.

Bookake drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andrew Benoit will probably get the nod.
That's time! Benoit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bookake shoots in and bounces Benoit off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bookake postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Benoit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Benoit wants to stand and escape but Bookake is having none of it.

Bookake is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Benoit has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bookake is looking to defend but Benoit has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bookake! Benoit pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bookake taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Andrew Benoit!
Andrew Benoit really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Vandal Fight Boutique (prices $8 - $30) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
