Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Isaac Newton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nuck Corris!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Corris gets tackled into the cage by Newton. Newton maintains the clinch.
Corris blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Corris jumps guard and drags Newton to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Newton wants to control from the top but Corris keeps moving.

Corris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Newton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Newton drops back looking for a leg! Corris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Corris manages to kick Newton off! Newton jumps back into Corris's guard.
Newton is pushing down on Corris's leg trying to pass to half guard. Corris is fighting to maintain full guard but Newton has managed to sneak the leg through.

Newton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Corris is just riding it out for now. Newton eventually gives up the hold.

Corris looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Newton is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Corris!

Newton working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corris is squirming around, avoiding Newton's attempts to control the action.
Corris is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Newton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Corris keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Newton is trying to take his opponent's back.

Newton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Corris is surviving well by controlling Newton's body position as best he can.
Corris slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Newton maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Corris could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Newton has cracked it and Corris is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Newton!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Isaac Newton!
Isaac Newton decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
