And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Jaki!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaki is in close to Baker's body, working some short punches and elbows.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jaki drops his hands momentarily and Baker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ivan Jaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jaki shoots in for a double leg but Baker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jaki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Baker takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Jaki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jaki winds up and cracks Baker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jaki is nestled in close to Baker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jaki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jaki is breathing heavily.
Jaki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Baker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Baker wants to stand but Jaki is controlling the position.
Jaki wants to pass the guard but Baker is keeping the position.
Baker is looking to stand up but Jaki isn't so interested in that idea.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jaki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jaki postures up in Baker's guard and throws a big left but Baker blocks it.
Jaki forces his way into half guard.

Jaki thows a huge punch but Baker dodges it nicely.
Jaki passes the guard and advances to mount!
