Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tank Abott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, mark strike!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
strike tries for a takedown but Abott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Abott misses with a takedown

and strike counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Abott's guard now.
Abott wants to control but strike passes easily into half guard.
strike trying to control the pace.
Abott wants to get back to his feet.
strike sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abott trying to control but strike postures up.
strike landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
strike lands strikes from half guard.
strike with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
strike moves into full mount! Abott won't be happy about that!
strike prevents Abott from getting the reversal.
strike takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
strike cracks Abott with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
strike tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
strike tries to control but Abott wriggling away.
strike manages to capitalize on a mistake by Abott to take his back!
strike has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abott takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Abott trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Abott is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by strike.

strike working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
strike looks gassed!
strike not allowing Abott to control his hands.
Abott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for strike on the ground.

strike is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Abott knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Abott for a finish.
Abott looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
You can see the frustration on Abott's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Abott just trying to survive but strike is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Abott is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because strike is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Abott is trying to stand back up.
strike lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Abott trying to control the position but strike manages to sink in the hooks.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
strike wants to control the position but Abott frees himself and scrambles - strike manages to regain control in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

strike throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
strike avoids the head kick by Abott.
Abott tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Abott fails with the takedown

so strike counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
strike slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
strike postures up in Abott's guard and throws a big left but Abott blocks it.
strike stays in close to Abott's body and controls the position.
Abott wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and strike manages to pass to side control.

strike missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
strike content to control rather than advance.
strike prevents Abott from improving his position.
strike is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Abott is looking for a sweep. strike is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Abott trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
strike controlling his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Abott has given up his back.
Abott can't escape the position.

strike is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Abott won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips strike off his unconscious opponent!
