The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner shoots in for a takedown but Lawal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lawal slips a jab and a cross from Worner.

Worner is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lawal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lawal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Worner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lawal is nestled in close to Worner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Lawal is looking for a kimura but Worner is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lawal to get the leverage.

Worner wants to control but Lawal is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Worner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Worner tries to get out of the position.
Lawal winds up and cracks Worner with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Lawal looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Worner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
