Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chop Chuey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Coulter enables Chuey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Coulter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Chuey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Coulter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chuey stands and steps away. Coulter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Coulter is looking to clinch but Chuey is avoiding it.
Coulter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chuey checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Coulter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Chuey rushes Coulter and presses him up against the cage. Coulter breaks the clinch.
Chuey gets a double leg takedown into Coulter's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chuey throwing strikes from guard but Coulter blocks nicely. Coulter is trying to control the position but Chuey postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chuey trying to stand up but can't free himself from Coulter's guard. Chuey stays in close to Coulter's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coulter pulls Chuey in close to prevent any damage. Coulter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chuey manages to get himself to full guard.
Chuey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Coulter trying to control but Chuey is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coulter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Chuey blocks the body kick.
A lazy left from Chuey finds it's target. Chuey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Coulter. Coulter throws a push kick but Chuey slaps the foot to one side. Chuey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Coulter to the mat! Coulter manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chuey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chuey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Chuey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coulter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Coulter looks gassed! Coulter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Chuey stands up from Coulter's guard - Chuey perhaps looking for a knockout. Chuey attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chuey instigates a clinch. Coulter is trying to stall.
Coulter jumps guard but Chuey stands there with Coulter around his waist. Coulter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Chuey gets a trip takedown into half guard. Chuey throwing shots but Coulter is blocking nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chuey is looking to advance position but Coulter won't allow it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chuey in particular looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chop Chuey dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Chuey does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Coulter tries to clinch but fails miserably and Chuey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Coulter's guard. Chuey engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Coulter doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Chuey pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coulter is keeping the position for now. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Coulter is trying to keep Chuey in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chuey preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chop Chuey. Coulter shoots in for a takedown but Chuey shows good takedown defense. Coulter looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coulter is breathing heavily. Chuey managing to control the position. Coulter landing with the ground and pound. Chop Chuey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Coulter being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chuey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coulter's guard. Coulter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chuey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Coulter is looking to sweep but instead, Chuey has passed into half guard.
Coulter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chuey. Chuey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chuey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Coulter for as long as he can get away with. Chuey missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Chuey wants to pass the guard but Coulter is defending well. Still in half guard, Chuey seems content to control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chop Chuey wasn't doing enough on the ground. Coulter tries to bum rush Chuey with a series of wild strikes but Chuey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chuey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Coulter struggling a bit here. Chuey is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Coulter will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. You can see the frustration on Coulter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chuey cracks Coulter with a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chop Chuey dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Coulter wants to clinch and Chuey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chuey. Coulter is trying to hold Chuey in close to prevent damage but Chuey has managed to pass into half guard.
Coulter tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Chuey seems to be working for a kimura but Coulter defends the submission attempt. Chuey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Coulter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chuey wants to free his trapped foot but Coulter is holding on for dear life with his legs. Chuey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Chuey is trying to control the action in half guard but Coulter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Chuey trying to pass the guard but Coulter defending well. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Coulter trying to control but Chuey postures up.
Coulter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chop Chuey. Chuey defending well as Coulter loads up on a big left hand. Chuey is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coulter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chuey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Coulter seems keen to control Chuey's posture. Chuey won't allow Coulter to sweep him here. Coulter looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Chuey wants to control from the top but Coulter keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Coulter doesn't manage to clinch there - Chuey circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chuey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Coulter wants to get back to his feet. Chuey moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Coulter.
Chuey works to advance to full mount. Coulter defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Chuey controlling from the full mount. Chuey looking to control but Coulter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coulter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Coulter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chuey unloading with bombs! Chuey controlling the pace for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Coulter can't escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Chop Chuey showed his dominance in that final round. Well Chuey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
