Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rolo Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Chance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Oliver Chance enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rolo Reese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oliver Chance!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chance shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice sprawl there from Reese as Chance shoots in.

Reese scores with a takedown into Chance's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Reese thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Chance looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Reese has picked Chance up and slammed him! Chance can't keep hold of the triangle and Reese manages to pass to side control!
Reese tries to move to mount but Chance blocks the move with his legs.
Reese tries to stand but Chance is controlling his head.

Reese is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chance has escaped the position, nice work there.
Chance is looking for a sweep.
Reese knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chance on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Chance's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Reese is trying to get an arm triangle but Chance is defending well.
Chance struggling a bit here.
Chance tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reese wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Reese tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reese has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Chance is looking for a sweep.

Reese tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chance is trying to get back to half guard.

Chance manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Chance is looking for a kimura but Reese is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chance to get the leverage.
Reese is controlling Chance's trapped leg to prevent Chance from advancing to side control.

Reese is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chance defends well.
Chance is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Chance is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chance throwing strikes from guard but Reese blocks nicely.

Reese wriggles free and stands up.
Reese tries to clinch up.
Chance looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reese is fending him off so far but Chance persists. Nope, Reese circles away and we're back to standing.
Rolo Reese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Chance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reese clinches up with Chance and pushes him back against the cage.

Reese gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Reese drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reese jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Chance doesn't manage to clinch there - Reese circles away.
Chance throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reese's waist but Reese gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chance off to one side.
Chance looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Reese feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chances jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Reese lands a jab-cross combination.
Rolo Reese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chance misses with an uppercut. Reese saw that one coming.

Reese shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Chance tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Reese goes for an armbar but Chance turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chance postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Chance trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Reese is trying to keep Chance in close.

Reese is looking to stand up but Chance isn't so interested in that idea.

Chance is working Reese over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Chance keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reese's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reese pushes Chance off and gets back to his feet.
Reese tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chance paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rolo Reese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Chance.

Reese changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chance looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chance shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chance was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Poor strikes thrown by Chance there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Chance throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Reese wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Chance.

Chance looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Reese tries to reverse the position but Chance maintains control.

Chance is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Reese has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Reese!

That was a close second round but I would say that Rolo Reese will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Reese slaps away a takedown attempt from Chance, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chance misses with a low kick.

Chance has his foot on Reese's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reese works his way back into a safe position though.

Reese is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Chance fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reese avoids it really well and circles away.

Reese displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chance.

Reese is trying to trip Chance. He has hold of a leg but Chance is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reese persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chance is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

I would just about give that final round to Oliver Chance.
Well Reese has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
