PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Estep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Estep is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Courageous. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harry Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Estep!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estep fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A jab from Dunn finds it's way through Estep's defenses.

Estep darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dunn trying to control here.
Estep throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dunn scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Estep manages to mount him!
Dunn is desperately trying to improve his position but Estep has a good base and remains in mount.
Estep controlling from the full mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dunn regains half guard.
Estep tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dunn knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Estep wants to stand up but Dunn is controlling the position.
Still in half guard, Estep seems content to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dunn is trying to get back to full guard.
Dunn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Estep.

Estep is working for a submission of some sort.

Estep decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Dunn gets tackled into the cage by Estep. Estep maintains the clinch.
Dunn is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Estep is defending well for now.

Dunn gets control of Estep's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dunn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Dunn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dunn tries to get out of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dunn wants to control the position but Estep says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Estep landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Estep in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Estep is keen to just control but Dunn is a slippery customer.
Estep lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dunn trying to hold on to Estep's head to control him but Estep postures up.
Estep controlling the action here.

Estep seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Dunn is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Brian Estep!
After winning the bout, Brian Estep thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
