Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunder is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 2PAC-. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker misses with a hook. Thunder swats away the attempt to clinch by Walker. Thunder tries for a takedown but Walker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A good leg kick by Walker. Thunder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fight stays on the outside here - Walker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Walker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Walker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Good leg kick by Walker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Thunder closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Walker quickly recovers to half guard. Thunder lands with a punch from half guard. Thunder working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Walker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Thunder lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Thunder working Walker over with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thunder is trying to control the action in half guard but Walker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Thunder not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Thunder is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now. Thunder thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Walker's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thunder seems to be looking for submissions.
Thunder seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Walker is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Johnny Thunder! After winning the bout, Johnny Thunder thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
