Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller's entrance music is Bodies. A fine choice. Benny Paul is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Paul! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.
Paul fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Paul waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Miller. Paul fails with the takedown. Miller slips under a jab from Paul. Paul is looking to clinch. Paul throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Paul working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Miller. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paul preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Miller connects with a couple of short punches. Miller thows a big elbow that misses. Miller won't allow Paul to sweep him here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Miller postures up and lands a big shot to Paul's brow. Paul wants to stand but Miller is controlling the position. Miller scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Miller passes easily into side control. Nice work. Paul struggling a bit here. Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Paul regains half guard. Miller scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Miller wants to free his trapped foot but Paul is holding on for dear life with his legs. Paul manages to get to full guard.
Miller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Miller pushes down on Paul's leg and manages to get into half guard. Miller missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Miller is pressing down on Paul's thigh, looking to free his foot. Paul is holding on for now.

Miller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Paul is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miller, into his guard. Paul thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Paul gets to his feet - Miller follows without any prompting. Nice takedown defense from Paul. No joy for Miller on that attempt. Miller is breathing heavily. Paul is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Miller. Paul tries to clinch but fails miserably so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Paul looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miller postures up and lands a big shot to Paul's brow. Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller being controlled here momentarily. Paul is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Miller thows a big elbow that misses. Miller is working Paul over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Miller lands a couple of decent looking shots. Paul is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Miller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Miller checks a low kick from Paul.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Miller shoots in for a double leg but Paul sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Miller looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paul shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard. Miller looking for a sweep. Not yet Miller, not yet. Paul wants to stand but Miller is controlling his posture from full guard. Miller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Miller is trying to work for a kimura but Paul is defending well.
Miller winds up and cracks Paul with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller slips a nice elbow through Paul's hands, connecting with Paul's forehead. Miller takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Miller dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Paul has momentary wrist control but Miller slips an elbow through the middle. Miller looking to pass the guard. Paul can't keep his opponent in guard - Miller advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Miller working the head and body with strikes. Paul is looking to improve his position.

Miller tries to pass the half guard into mount. Paul knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Miller frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Paul is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee warns Paul that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Miller looking to finish Paul with some ground and pound. This is bad for Paul! Miller with the ground and pound from mount. Miller prevents Paul from getting the reversal. Miller raining down shots from the mount! Paul sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Paul manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Paul striking off his back, scoring a few points. Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Steven Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Paul lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miller! Paul lands a big elbow. Paul can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miller is looking to escape. Miller is in all sorts of trouble here.

Paul looking to control but Miller is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Paul content just to control the position here. Paul wants to finish this one by submission but Miller is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Paul. Paul landing strikes, looking to finish! Paul has hold of Miller's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Miller manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Miller regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Paul there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to get back to full guard. Paul stands up from half guard. Paul bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Miller! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Miller is rocked! Paul stands up and waves to Miller to follow him. Oh Miller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Paul shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Miller takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Paul sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Miller bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
