Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy comes to the cage accompanied by Shipping Up To Boston. Slick has chosen Careful With That Axe Eugene as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slick closes the distance and clinches up with Hardy, looking for a takedown. Slick pushes Hardy against the cage but Hardy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hardy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hardy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Slick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hardy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Slick is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hardy is controlling Slick's position as best he can from this difficult position.
