Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sian Sissoko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sian Sissoko will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sian Sissoko!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sissoko moves into the clinch successfully.
Morgan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sissoko after a bit of a struggle.
Sissoko prevents Morgan from breaking the clinch.
Morgan avoiding damage as Sissoko throws knees to the body.

Sissoko turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sissoko manages to end up in side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Morgan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sissoko wants to stand but Morgan has his arm trapped.
Morgan sneaks back into half guard.

Sissoko decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Sissoko blocks a head kick by Morgan.
Morgan looks for a takedown but Sissoko sprawls well.

Morgan has Sissoko up against the cage in a clinch.
Morgan has Sissoko pressed against the cage, preventing Sissoko from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Morgan tries to break the clinch but Sissoko is controlling the position.

Morgan misses with a double jab.

Morgan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sissoko swings wildly with an uppercut but Morgan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sissoko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Morgan pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sissoko is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Sissoko goes for a takedown in the clinch but Morgan prevents it.

Sissoko lands a nice knee to the body.
Sissoko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Morgan walks away with a smile on his face. Sissoko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Morgan throws a sloppy head kick and Sissoko moves out of range easily.

Morgan rushes Sissoko and presses him up against the cage.

Sissoko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sissoko moves in looking to clinch but Morgan pushes him off.
Danga de danga de dang - Morgan scores with a four punch combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morgan misses with a head kick.

Sissoko moves into the clinch.

Sissoko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morgan, as that shot connected.

Morgan forces Sissoko back against the cage and clinches.
Sissoko is trying to push Morgan away but Morgan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sissoko digs a right hand into Morgan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Morgan's gas tank.
Morgan has had enough of the clinch but Sissoko keeps him there for the moment.

Sissoko breaks from the clinch.
Morgan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sissoko is fending him off so far but Morgan persists. Nope, Sissoko circles away and we're back to standing.
Sissoko moves out of range as Morgan throws a body kick.
Sissoko tries to clinch but Morgan is having none of it.
Morgan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Morgan pushes Sissoko up against the cage in a clinch.
Sissoko throws a knee to the head but misses.
Morgan prevents Sissoko from breaking the clinch.

Sissoko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sissoko gets a clinch.
Morgan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sissoko softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Sissoko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Morgan darts in and clinches Sissoko up against the cage.
Sissoko misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Morgan.
Morgan wants to get back to striking at distance but Sissoko won't allow it.

Morgan pulls guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Morgan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Morgan is looking for a triangle but Sissoko pushes his legs off easily.
Sissoko has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morgan is proving hard to escape from.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sissoko stops Morgan from standing up.
Morgan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sissoko is one step ahead there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Morgan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sissoko tries to work over Morgan's front leg with a kick but Morgan checks it.
Morgan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sissoko sprawls well. Sissoko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morgan gets slowly back to his feet.

Sissoko moves out of range of the body kick from Morgan.
Dan Morgan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Morgan closes the distance and clinches.
Sissoko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Morgan walks away with a smile on his face. Sissoko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sissoko wants to clinch up but Morgan keeps it at a distance.
Sissoko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morgan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sissoko is out of range.
Sissoko throws a series of punches but Morgan moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sissoko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Morgan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sissoko misses with a punch on the inside.
Sissoko swings wildly with an uppercut but Morgan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sissoko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dan Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan lands a lovely overhand right.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Morgan is defended easily by Sissoko.

Morgan drives through and clinches with Sissoko against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sian Sissoko seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Morgan manages to pull guard.
Morgan controls Sissoko momentarily but Sissoko frees himself.

Morgan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sissoko is controlling him.
Sissoko wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
Sissoko wants to stand but Morgan is controlling his posture from full guard.

Morgan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sissoko has his hands clasped together but Morgan extends an breaks Sissoko's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Morgan.
