Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Lovell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harvey comes to the cage accompanied by Dangerzone. Zack Lovell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, AJ Harvey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zack Lovell! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harvey has taken the fight to the clinch.
Harvey has picked Lovell up - he's going for a ride! Harvey dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lovell wants to improve his position but Harvey is controlling well.
Lovell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Harvey gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Lovell scores with a jab. Harvey acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like AJ Harvey has been cut. Lovell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harvey shoots for a double leg takedown but Lovell sprawls well. He's pushed Harvey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Zack Lovell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lovell throws a sloppy head kick and Harvey moves out of range easily. Harvey shoots in for a takedown but Lovell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lovell closes the distance and clinches up with Harvey, looking for a takedown. Lovell pushes Harvey against the cage but Harvey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Excellent takedown into side control there by Harvey. The referee asks Harvey politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Harvey prefers to stall for the moment though. Harvey stands up and beckons Lovell to his feet. Harvey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Harvey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Harvey lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Harvey really is a fat lump. Lovell scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Harvey manages to mount him!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harvey can't control as he wanted to and Lovell manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Harvey slows the pace down in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lovell is trying to escape back to his feet but Harvey uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Harvey advances to mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Harvey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Harvey won't let Lovell get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Harvey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harvey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lovell wants to stand but Harvey is controlling his posture from full guard. Harvey pushes Lovell off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Harvey shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Harvey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harvey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lovell for as long as he can get away with. Lovell trying to hold on to Harvey's head to control him but Harvey postures up.
Harvey is taking a breather. Lovell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref stands the fighters back up. AJ Harvey wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lovell misses with a head kick.
Lovell is breathing heavily. Lovell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Harvey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lovell is pushing Harvey's head away, looking to escape. Harvey manages to hold on to the position though. Harvey content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Lovell wants to get back to his feet but Harvey drags him back down. Harvey moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Harvey has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lovell! Harvey scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harvey is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lovell is surviving well by controlling Harvey's body position as best he can. Harvey looking to finish Lovell with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lovell! AJ Harvey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Harvey looking to control and managing it successfully. Harvey stands up from mount. Strange move.

Harvey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lovell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harvey somewhat. Harvey shoots in and bounces Lovell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lovell trying to keep a closed guard but Harvey is proving a slippery customer.

An inside leg kick lands from Harvey. Harvey throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Harvey has Lovell up against the cage in a clinch.
Harvey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lovell regains guard immediately. It looks like it's working - Lovell slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Harvey displaying calm under pressure there. Lovell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
