PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitali Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Seber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kersikov comes into the arena with The Offspring - All i Want blaring out of the sound system. Pat Seber is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vitali Kersikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Pat Seber!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kersikov.
Seber moves out of range of the strikes.
Seber shoots in but Kersikov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Seber closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kersikov is looking for a sweep.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Seber takes a little break here. Kersikov wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kersikov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Seber working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kersikov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Seber on the ground.
Kersikov is looking for a sweep.
Kersikov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kersikov tries to get out of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kersikov wants to control but Seber postures up.
Seber wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kersikov keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Kersikov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Seber is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kersikov has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kersikov parries the strikes from Seber easily there. Seber is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kersikov to escape.
Kersikov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kersikov won't allow Seber to pass to mount.
Seber tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Seber passes to full mount!
Seber lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Seber throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kersikov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Seber avoids the attempt from Kersikov to control.

Kersikov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Seber with a couple of short strikes.
Kersikov wants to hold on but Seber pushes him away.
Seber can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kersikov is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Seber is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kersikov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Seber sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Seber looking to control but Kersikov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kersikov is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pat Seber dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Seber wants to clinch but Kersikov slips to the side
and Kersikov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Seber thinking.

Kersikov will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Seber up against the cage.

Kersikov lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Seber is breathing heavily.
Seber pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Seber can't get the takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Seber's face as he tries to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kersikov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kersikov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.


Seber is rocked!
A nice right hand lands inside from Kersikov.
Seber is still on wobbly legs! Can Kersikov finish him?
Kersikov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Seber backwards.
Kersikov lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Vitali Kersikov has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Kersikov creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Seber! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Kersikov.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vitali Kersikov!
An out of breath Vitali Kersikov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
