Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tupac Chopra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aziz Leca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tupac Chopra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aziz Leca!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chopra gets a takedown into half guard.
Leca is controlling Chopra's trapped leg to prevent Chopra from advancing to side control.
Leca gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leca seems keen to control Chopra's posture.
Chopra throws a big right hand that misses.
Leca is pulling down on Chopra's head to control his posture.
Chopra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tupac Chopra.

Chopra is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leca doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chopra.

Chopra knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leca on the ground.

Leca wants to get back to his feet but Chopra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Chopra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Leca sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Chopra trying to advance position but Leca counters by regaining guard.
Chopra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leca swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chopra slips nicely into half guard.
Chopra is looking to take a break and control but Leca is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Leca tries to get to full guard but Chopra has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chopra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leca does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Leca wants to stand up but Chopra is controlling him.

Leca is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chopra defends well.

Leca wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Chopra is now in half guard.
Tupac Chopra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Chopra is trying to work for a kimura but Leca is defending well.
Chopra is looking to take a break and control but Leca is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Leca moves into full guard.
Leca is adopting a defensive guard.

A close second round but Aziz Leca will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Chopra feints and as Leca raises his hands in defense, Chopra changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Chopra avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Chopra wants to control from the top but Leca keeps moving.

Chopra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leca has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chopra has managed to get both his arms back between Leca's legs - danger averted.

Leca is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Leca takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Leca is pulling down on Chopra's head. It's preventing any offense from Chopra, at least for the moment.
Leca controls Chopra momentarily but Chopra frees himself.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Aziz Leca wasn't active enough on the ground.

Chopra has taken the fight to the clinch.
Chopra fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Leca is trying to break free.

Leca keeps control of Chopra as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Leca goes for a takedown in the clinch but Chopra prevents it.
Chopra is pressed up against the cage. Leca has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chopra down to the mat. Chopra avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Chopra closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Leca quickly recovers to half guard.
Leca wants to control but Chopra is keeping busy.
Leca tries to get to full guard but Chopra has control of the leg.
Chopra is keen to just control but Leca is a slippery customer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chopra is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Leca is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Leca wants to get back to full guard.

Leca sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chopra's guard.

Leca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chopra is just riding it out for now. Leca eventually gives up the hold.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tupac Chopra.
Well Chopra has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
