Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Rubinos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocko McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubinos's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Spanish guitarr. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alejandro Rubinos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rocko McGee!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubinos scores with the left hand. McGee knows he should have avoided that one.
Rubinos throws a one two combo.


McGee is rocked!
Rubinos wants to slow McGee down by chopping away at his legs.
McGee wants to clinch.
Rubinos jabs McGee right on the nose. McGee blinks but takes it well.
Rubinos throws a right hand that McGee ducks under and follows up with a left that McGee also avoids with ease.
Rubinos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McGee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rubinos.
McGee checks the leg kick.
McGee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rubinos wants to land a leg kick but McGee is out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed right hand from Rubinos misses the target.

Rubinos jabs McGee right on the nose. McGee blinks but takes it well.
Rubinos throws a nice looking combination but McGee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rubinos fails to land with a series of punches.
McGee doesn't manage to clinch there - Rubinos circles away.
Rubinos lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
McGee fails in his attempt to clinch.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rubinos paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McGee feints and as Rubinos raises his hands in defense, McGee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McGee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rubinos wants to stand but McGee is controlling the position.
McGee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rubinos is keeping the position for now.

McGee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

McGee rushes Rubinos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rubinos managing to block the knees to the body from McGee.

McGee jumps into guard, dragging Rubinos to the mat.
Rubinos wants to stand and escape but instead McGee has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
McGee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rubinos wants to stand but McGee is controlling the position.

McGee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McGee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
McGee landing with the ground and pound.
McGee stops Rubinos from standing up.

McGee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

McGee decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rubinos, up you get!
Nice takedown defense from Rubinos. No joy for McGee on that attempt.
Rubinos scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Rubinos throws a combination. McGee tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Rubinos scores with a nice strike.
Rubinos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McGee walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McGee on the wrong end of a nice hook.

McGee clinches up with Rubinos and pushes him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rubinos smiles and moves away.

Alejandro Rubinos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGee takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

McGee moves into the clinch.
McGee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rubinos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Alejandro Rubinos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocko McGee.
Rubinos is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McGee is keeping busy.
McGee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rubinos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rubinos trying to stall but McGee improves his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

McGee ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McGee no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alejandro Rubinos will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McGee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

McGee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rubinos squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
McGee avoids the attempt from Rubinos to control.
McGee pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
McGee fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rocko McGee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Rubinos tries to bum rush McGee with a series of wild strikes but McGee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well, if McGee is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
