Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Durden!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden tries to clinch but Peterson is having none of it.
Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Durden tries to sprawl out of it but Peterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Durden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Durden clinches with his opponent.

Durden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Durden tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jeremy Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durden lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Peterson backs up against the cage.
Durden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Peterson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Peterson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Durden is defending well.
Durden wants to get back to striking at distance but Peterson won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peterson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Durden pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robbie Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Durden fails with an attempt to clinch.

Durden manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Peterson on his heels. He'll look to pass Peterson's guard now, I'm sure.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Peterson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Durden can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Peterson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Durden is aware though and is defending well.
Peterson has a closed guard, preventing Durden from standing up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Peterson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durden defends well.
Peterson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durden would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peterson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Durden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Durden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durden trying to control the position from guard on top but Peterson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Durden must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Peterson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Durden has his hands clasped together but Peterson extends an breaks Durden's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Peterson.
