Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Giunta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desper Victoriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Giunta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desper Victoriano!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Giunta moves into the clinch successfully.

Victoriano's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Victoriano shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Giunta is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Victoriano defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Giunta gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Giunta apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Giunta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
