Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hy Wiener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaw comes to the cage accompanied by Body Head Bangerz - Can't Be Touched. Wiener has chosen Horse Outside as his entrance music. Hy Wiener told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hy Wiener! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wiener scores with a body shot.
Wiener throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wiener scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shaw in his tracks. Shaw waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wiener. Wiener wants to clinch but Shaw slips to the side and Shaw makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Wiener slips a jab from Shaw. Shaw chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wiener can pounce on him.
A low kick from Shaw misses and Wiener counters with a good low kick that Shaw was not able to check. Shaw scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wiener in his tracks. Wiener moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wiener throws a shot from downtown. Shaw moves away and avoids it. Wiener fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shaw manages to avoid it. Shaw moves out of range of the body kick from Wiener.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiener lands a leg kick that knocks Shaw off balance momentarily. Shaw lands a head shot. Wiener will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wiener misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wiener throws a body kick that misses. Shaw attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Hy Wiener is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wiener pushes Shaw up against the cage in a clinch. Shaw blocks an elbow strike. Shaw putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Wiener in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Wiener throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Shaw can't break the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Wiener lands an elbow just above Shaw 's eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw blocks the elbow strike.
Shaw dodges an elbow strike from Wiener.
Wiener with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hy Wiener seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shaw pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wiener is out of range and Shaw settles back down. Shaw throws a head kick that misses and Wiener counters with a one-two to the body. A bone on bone clash there as Wiener blocks the leg kick.
Wiener doesn't manage to clinch there - Shaw circles away.

Wiener throws a looping overhand right but Shaw ducks down to avoid it. Shaw throws out a leg kick but Wiener moves out of range and Shaw only half commits. Wiener rushes Shaw and presses him up against the cage. Wiener lands an elbow just above Shaw 's eye.
It looks like Don Shaw has been cut. Wiener throws an elbow but it misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wiener gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shaw.
Shaw tries to circle away but Wiener has him pinned against the cage. Wiener throws an elbow but it misses.
Shaw throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wieners head. Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wiener looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wiener ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shaw moves away. A good leg kick by Shaw. Wiener digs a good body shot into Shaw's ribs. Shaw pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wiener swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw throws an off balance right hand
enabling Wiener to counter with a crisp jab. Wiener lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Shaw keeps the fight on the outside. Wiener missing with a left hand there. Shaw was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wiener tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shaw manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Wiener tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shaw was well out of range. Poor timing from Wiener. Shaw connects with a looping right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shaw uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wiener. Shaw fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wiener moves into the clinch successfully.
Wiener landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wiener looks to throw an elbow but misses. Wiener throws a knee to the head but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hy Wiener dominated that round. The cut man is working on Don Shaw's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wiener swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shaw. Wiener gets caught napping as Shaw dives in and scores a takedown. Wiener manages to retain guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Shaw wants to control from the top but Wiener keeps moving. Shaw preventing the sweep. Shaw slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Shaw is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wiener has escaped the position, nice work there. Shaw tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiener seems a little lost for a moment, as Shaw dominates the positioning. Wiener avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Shaw. Shaw working the strikes but Wiener uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw tries to pass to full mount but Wiener defends it. Wiener keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wiener is trying to get back to full guard. Shaw misses with a head shot. Wiener uses the momentum to regain guard. Shaw controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw throwing strikes but missing. Shaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wiener swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wiener tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shaw with a flurry of punches that miss. Shaw throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shaw throws a strike but Wiener rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wiener content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Shaw has locked up a guillotine! Shaw's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Wiener is holding on here and Shaw must be using up a lot of energy. Wiener has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Shaw gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Don Shaw! Don Shaw seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
