The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jenkins.

and Jenkins counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jenkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jenkins showed some decent athleticism there.

Jenkins wants to get up but he can't break Brown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Brown had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jenkins is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brown Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jenkins's back instead.
Brown has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Jenkins.
Jenkins is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Brown.
I really don't envy Jenkins right now.

Jenkins postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brown looks a forlorn figure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Brown's face.
Jenkins is landing with some decent strikes but Brown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ovaltine Jenkins just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Buster Brown will probably get the nod.
