Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Chaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thrasher Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thrasher Boy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Chaney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thrasher Boy! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chaney gets caught flat footed, as Boy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Chaney will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Boy trying to move into half guard but instead Chaney has managed to sweep! Boy has a closed guard, preventing Chaney from standing up. Chaney stops Boy from standing up. Boy controlling Chaney's posture. Chaney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chaney wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chaney is looking to work some ground and pound but Boy has wrist control. Chaney wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving.
Ben Chaney has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Chaney fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boy to the ground. Chaney is now in Boy's guard. Boy trying to control the position.
Boy keeping moving, preventing Chaney from controlling successfully. Boy wants to sweep but no luck. Boy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chaney preventing the sweep. Boy striking from his own guard. Chaney drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boy dives on top into guard. Boy cracks Chaney with a solid left hand. Boy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Boy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chaney looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chaney with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Boy is looking to take a break and control but Chaney is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boy not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boy slips a nice elbow through Chaney's hands, connecting with Chaney's forehead. Chaney moves into full guard.
Chaney looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Boy has picked Chaney up and slammed him! Chaney can't keep hold of the triangle and Boy manages to pass to side control! Chaney is breathing heavily. Boy cracks Chaney with an elbow. That is naaassty. Chaney struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chaney is looking for a sweep. Boy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chaney to see if he's OK. Boy lands an elbow. Chaney on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chaney tries to get out of the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boy taking a break here but Chaney is having none of it and regains half guard. Chaney pushes Boy off but Boy dives into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chaney is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Boy grinds an elbow into Chaney's temple. Boy scoring with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thrasher Boy dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
A jab from Boy misses. Chaney tries to clinch but Boy is having none of it. Boy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Boy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boy tries to free his leg and advance position but Chaney is retaining full guard. Boy trying to control the position from guard on top but Chaney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boy slips nicely into half guard. Chaney won't allow Boy to pass to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chaney has one foot on Boy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Boy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chaney napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chaney tries to improve position but can't. Chaney is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Boy off and has taken his back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boy manages to reverse the position and now he's in Chaney's guard. Nice work there by Boy.
Chaney has momentary wrist control but Boy slips an elbow through the middle. Chaney has his foot on Boy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boy works his way back into a safe position though. Boy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boy is pushing down on Chaney's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chaney is fighting to maintain full guard but Boy has managed to sneak the leg through. Thrasher Boy has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boy scoring with strikes to the body and head. Boy trying to control the action but Chaney is working from the bottom. Boy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Boy trying to control from half guard but Chaney is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy content to control rather than advance. Boy prevents Chaney from improving his position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Boy scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Boy lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Chaney makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Thrasher Boy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Chaney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Boy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chaney closes the distance and pushes Boy back into the cage. Chaney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boy throws out a loose jab but Chaney uses good head movement to avoid it. Chaney tries to close the distance and clinch but Boy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Good exchange - Boy coming out on top. Chaney defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Boy. Chaney tries to clinch there but Boy circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy dives in and grabs Chaney's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chaney pushes down on Boy's head and hops out. Boy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chaney sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ben Chaney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thrasher Boy. Boy slaps away a takedown attempt from Chaney, before circling back to the center of the mat. Chaney shoots in for a double leg but Boy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chaney tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chaney fails in his attempt to clinch. Boy is nestled in close to Chaney, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Boy working the head and body with strikes. Boy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chaney is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boy's back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boy turns into Chaney and is now in his guard.
