Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Harrinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Aldo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lewis Harrinton!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo moves to clinch but Harrinton breaks away

and Harrinton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aldo's guard now.

and Harrinton counters with a nice leg kick.

Harrinton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Harrinton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harrinton decides to stand and escape the position.

and Harrinton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aldo won't be happy with that.

Harrinton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Aldo has hold of Harrinton's hands but Harrinton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Harrinton winds up and cracks Aldo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Aldo is looking to control Harrinton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aldo avoid being mounted?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aldo throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Harrinton in particular looking to stall.
Aldo wants to get back to full guard but Harrinton has passed into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Harrinton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harrinton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

and Harrinton makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Aldo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aldo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Aldo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harrinton avoids the body shot from Aldo.
Aldo lands with a nice body punch.
Harrinton throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Aldo on the side of the head.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lewis Harrinton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Harrinton is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aldo's half guard.

Harrinton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Aldo to the ground. Harrinton is now in Aldo's guard.

Lewis Harrinton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Harrinton finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Aldo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harrinton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aldo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Harrinton clinches up with Aldo and pushes him back against the cage.

Harrinton has control of Aldo's left arm, preventing Aldo from doing any damage.
Aldo wants to stand but Harrinton is controlling his posture from full guard.
Aldo wants to stand and escape but instead Harrinton has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Aldo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Harrinton stands and throws Aldo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Harrinton controls the position.

Aldo is looking for a sweep.
Aldo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Harrinton lands an elbow.

Aldo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Harrinton has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Aldo doesn't have the hooks in and Harrinton manages to turn into his guard.
Harrinton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Aldo tries to bench press Harrinton off him but Harrinton keeps the position.

Harrinton gets to mount! Aldo was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Aldo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Harrinton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well Harrinton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
