The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki tries to clinch but Fairtex moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Suzuki.
Suzuki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fairtex quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Fairtex misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Still in half guard, Suzuki seems content to control.
