Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tiberio Mito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Carvol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Carvol will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiberio Mito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Carvol! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carvol. A leg kick checked by Carvol. Carvol moves out of range of the leg kick from Mito. Nice cross by Mito. Carvol gets tackled into the cage by Mito. Mito maintains the clinch. Mito is trying to stall.
Mito lands a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Carvol wants to sweep here but Mito controlling him for the moment. Mito looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Carvol keeping moving, preventing Mito from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mito is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tiberio Mito. Mito displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carvol. A slapping leg kick lands for Mito.
Mito missing with a left hand there. Carvol was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nice defenses there by Carvol. Carvol shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mito moves into the clinch. Carvol goes for a takedown attempt but Mito pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tiberio Mito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Carvol. Nice takedown defense from Mito. No joy for Carvol on that attempt. Carvol looks gassed! Mito fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mito has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mito struggles to land a body shot inside as Carvol controls his hands.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mito's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mito has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tiberio Mito has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Carvol shoots for a double leg takedown but Mito sprawls well. He's pushed Carvol's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Good work by Carvol as he checks the leg kick. Mito throws a low kick but Carvol avoids it. Mito moves into the clinch successfully.
Mito has hold of one of Carvol's legs. Carvol is fighting the takedown attempt but Mito gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Carvol being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mito trying to control the position from guard on top but Carvol is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tiberio Mito has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Mito. Carvol does a little dance to reset his feet. Carvol shoots and misses and Mito counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Mito not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mito preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiberio Mito dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Carvol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mito tries to avoid it but Carvol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mito to the ground. Mito escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Carvol shoots in for a takedown but Mito shows good takedown defense. Mito tries to close the distance and clinch but Carvol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mito tries to clinch up but Carvol circles away and keeps his distance. Carvol shoots in for a takedown but Mito shows good takedown defense. Tiberio Mito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Carvol. Carvol checks a leg kick. Carvol misses with a takedown attempt - Mito sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Carvol tries for a takedown but Mito sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tiberio Mito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mito scores with a decent looking hook. Carvol on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mito. Mito obviously looking to wear him down.
Carvol is breathing heavily. Horrible takedown by Carvol or perhaps it was just good defense by Mito which made him look bad. Carvol moves out of range of the leg kick from Mito.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mito closes the distance and clinches. Mito breaks the clinch.
Carvol shoots in looking for a takedown. Mito tries to sprawl out of it but Carvol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mito manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carvol avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mito has managed to clinch.

Mito taking a breather. Carvol is working for takedown but Mito is calmly controlling the position for now. Mito tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Carvol avoids it. Carvol blocks a body shot from Mito. Mito just leaning against Carvol, taking a breather. Carvol blocks a body shot from Mito. Carvol blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mito has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Carvol clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Mito just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carvol tries to roll but Mito sticks to his back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Mito controlling the positon. Carvol trying to control the hands but Mito won't let him. Mito lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Mito.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good control from Mito. Carvol grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Mito is hanging on to Carvol's back as he tries to escape.
Mito is riding his opponent, not letting Carvol buck him off. Mito lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oooh a big shot gets through from Mito. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Carvol trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Carvol covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. What can Carvol do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mito's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiberio Mito dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Mito feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mito wants to control from the top but Carvol keeps moving. Mito is looking to advance position but Carvol has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Carvol tries to control but Mito wriggling away. Carvol takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvol jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mito manages to avoid the submission attempt. Mito is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carvol can do to turn this around? Mito is not content to let Carvol control the position. Carvol tries for a kimura but Mito is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mito is looking to regain half guard here but Carvol keeps moving and retains side control. Mito regains half guard. Mito regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carvol trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mito keeping moving, preventing Carvol from controlling successfully. Mito will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Carvol trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mito manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Mito controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Tiberio Mito is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiberio Mito overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Max Carvol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
