Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ahmed Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alan Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ahmed Phillips! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Phillips counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cooper's guard now. Cooper being controlled here, momentarily. Phillips stops Cooper from standing up. Phillips's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cooper is looking to stand up but Phillips isn't so interested in that idea. Phillips is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ahmed Phillips has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cooper misses with a double jab.

Phillips throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Cooper does no damage. Cooper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Phillips circles away quickly and effectively.

Cooper is breathing heavily. Phillips scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee asks Phillips politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Phillips prefers to stall for the moment though. Cooper tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Phillips lands a heavy elbow.
It looks like Alan Cooper has been cut. Phillips controlling the pace for now. Phillips fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Phillips controlling from the full mount. It looks like Phillips might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Let's hope that Phillips has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Cooper throws a combination that misses and Phillips counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cooper's guard now. Phillips trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Phillips in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Phillips passes easily into side control. Nice work. Phillips advances to mount. Phillips breaks from Cooper's wrist control and lands an elbow. Phillips controlling from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Phillips's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Phillips has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
