Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Up Yours! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denis Kolesnichenko! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kolesnichenko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yours counters with a shoot takedown. Kolesnichenko fights it but they end up in guard. Kolesnichenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Yours sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kolesnichenko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yours is one step ahead there. Kolesnichenko is trying to control the position but Yours postures up. Kolesnichenko tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kolesnichenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kolesnichenko pulls Yours in to control the position. Yours has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Denis Kolesnichenko was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kolesnichenko looking to score a takedown here. Yours is defending well but Kolesnichenko drives through and ends up in Yours's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kolesnichenko controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Yours has Kolesnichenko pulled in close to control his posture.

Kolesnichenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Yours is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kolesnichenko is aware though and is defending well. Yours might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kolesnichenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Yours is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Yours is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kolesnichenko is controlling him. Kolesnichenko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kolesnichenko works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Kolesnichenko wants to take a breather but Yours is having none of it. Yours wants to get back to full guard. Kolesnichenko trying to control the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Denis Kolesnichenko wasn't active enough on the ground. Yours pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kolesnichenko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yours counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Yours misses with a knee strike.
Yours blocks the elbow strike.
Yours makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Yours tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Yours ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Yours no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko looking to pass the guard. Yours is looking to stand up but Kolesnichenko isn't so interested in that idea. Kolesnichenko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yours is keeping the position for now. Kolesnichenko's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kolesnichenko throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Yours works some decent striking defense from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kolesnichenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Yours trying to keep a closed guard but Kolesnichenko is proving a slippery customer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Yours is really struggling to control Kolesnichenko but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Up Yours. Yours has closed the distance and engaged Kolesnichenko in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Up Yours will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Yours tries a head kick but it misses.
Kolesnichenko looks for a takedown but Yours sprawls well. Yours stuffs the takedown. Yours gets a clinch. Yours jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kolesnichenko walks away with a smile on his face. Yours gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kolesnichenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kolesnichenko is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Denis Kolesnichenko has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yours looking for a sweep. Not yet Yours, not yet. Yours is working hard here to advance position. Kolesnichenko pushes down on Yours's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kolesnichenko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yours does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Yours wants to control the action here but instead Kolesnichenko manages to pass to full mount! Yours is trying to escape the mount.
Kolesnichenko controlling the pace for now. Yours trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko raining down hammerfists from mount. Kolesnichenko controlling his opponent. Yours tries to hold on but Kolesnichenko pushes him away. Yours is squirming around, avoiding Kolesnichenko's attempts to control the action. Yours wants to control but Kolesnichenko is having none of it. Kolesnichenko controlling from the full mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yours is desperately trying to improve his position but Kolesnichenko has a good base and remains in mount. Kolesnichenko with good strikes from the mount here! Yours wants to control but Kolesnichenko is having none of it. Kolesnichenko throws some wild stikes that Yours manages to avoid easily.
Kolesnichenko jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Yours is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Yours and Kolesnichenko has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Yours wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kolesnichenko is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Yours's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yours is not content to let Kolesnichenko control the position. Kolesnichenko tries to move to mount but Yours blocks the move with his legs. Yours is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Yours can't do much from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A lull in the action here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Kolesnichenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Kolesnichenko thowing shots but they're missing. Yours tries to hold on but Kolesnichenko postures up.

Yours bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kolesnichenko is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Yours forces Kolesnichenko back against the cage and clinches. Kolesnichenko tries for a takedown but Yours manages to get underhooks.
Kolesnichenko is trying to pull guard but Yours has him pressed against the cage. Up Yours has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denis Kolesnichenko. Kolesnichenko is looking to control Yours's arms but Yours gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kolesnichenko has his back to the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Yours throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kolesnichenko blocks it with crossed arms. Kolesnichenko drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Yours gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kolesnichenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Yours lands with a light punch inside. Kolesnichenko lands a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yours wants to get back to his feet but Kolesnichenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Yours pushes Kolesnichenko off and gets back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kolesnichenko fails to land the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Denis Kolesnichenko. I think Kolesnichenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
