The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker tries to clinch up but Boy circles away and keeps his distance.

Parker shoots in looking for a takedown. Boy tries to sprawl out of it but Parker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Frankie Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boy wants it to stay on the feet.
Parker avoids a punch combination nicely.

Parker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boy after a bit of a struggle.

It looks like Peter Parker has been cut.
Boy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Parker.
Parker is breathing heavily.
Parker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Boy pushes Parker up against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Boy to keep the fight standing.
Boy lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Parker wants to break free but Boy has control.
Parker is trying to drag Boy to the mat but Boy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Boy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Parker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Parker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Parker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Boy is proving hard to escape from.

Boy has his feet on Parker's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Boy slaps away a takedown attempt from Parker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Parker shoots in for a takedown but Boy shows good takedown defense.

Boy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boy lands a hook that snaps the head of Parker backwards.

Parker manages to break the clinch.
Parker misses with a takedown attempt - Boy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boy throws a big uppercut that drops Parker! More strikes from Boy and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Parker lies dazed against the cage as Boy celebrates with his cornermen!
