Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Stoner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Nixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Derek Stoner! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nixon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nice sprawl there from Stoner as Nixon shoots in. Stoner throws a head kick that misses and Nixon counters with a body kick. Nixon stuffs the takedown. Stoner shoots in but Nixon avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stoner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Nixon misses with a knee to the head. Nixon tries to land knees in the clinch but Stoner avoids the damage to the body. Nixon jumps guard and drags Stoner to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Stoner drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nixon dives on top into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nixon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stoner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nixon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nixon trying to control but Stoner is working from the bottom. Stoner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nixon is one step ahead there. Nixon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
David Nixon has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Stoner misses with a wild combination.
Nixon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knees to the body from Nixon.
Stoner looks gassed! A short right from Nixon. Stoner jumps guard but Nixon stands there with Stoner around his waist. Stoner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
David Nixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Stoner. Nixon displaying some good clinch control by pressing Stoner up against the cage. Nixon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nixon has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nixon tightens his grip and picks Stoner up, before dumping him to the ground. Stoner manages to land in guard. Nixon with a flurry of punches that miss. Nixon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
David Nixon has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. No luck for Stoner with that takedown attempt. Nixon drives through and clinches with Stoner against the cage.
Stoner is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Nixon successfully pulls guard.
Stoner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nixon has Stoner pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Derek Stoner was stalling too much, according to the referee. Stoner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nixon holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nixon tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Stoner is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stoner throws an elbow but it misses.

Nixon lands a hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Nixon dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Nixon wants to clinch. David Nixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nixon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stoner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nixon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stoner defends it nicely. Nixon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stoner sprawls well. Stoner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nixon gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nixon shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Nixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nixon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stoner throws a sloppy head kick and Nixon counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Stoner throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Stoner forces Nixon back against the cage and clinches. Nixon lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Nixon manages to break the clinch.
David Nixon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nixon throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nixon is defended easily by Stoner. Nixon clinches up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nixon lands a big knee! That's hurt Stoner! Oh, he's all over the place! Nixon lands another knee that sends Stoner to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Nixon! A relieved looking David Nixon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
