The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve Austin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Saruwatari misses with a combination
and Steve Austin counters with a leg kick.
Steve Austin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Steve Austin throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Saruwatari's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Steve Austin dives in looking to finish as Saruwatari flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Steve Austin's strikes! Steve Austin is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Saruwatari's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Saruwatari was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Stone Cold Steve Austin opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
