The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McDiggler counters with a nice double leg into side control. Montoya won't be happy with that.
McDiggler content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
McDiggler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montoya is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Montoya is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Montoya wants to get back to his feet but McDiggler drags him back down.
McDiggler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Montoya has escaped the position, nice work there.

Montoya postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McDiggler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Montoya wants to stand but McDiggler is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McDiggler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
