Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Watkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kopp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrone Watkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Kopp! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watkins swings away with a leg kick that misses. Watkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Kopp swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Watkins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kopp paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kopp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Watkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kopp throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Tyrone Watkins has been cut. Kopp has managed to clinch.

Kopp stuffs the takedown attempt from Watkins. Watkins gets slowly back to his feet. Watkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kopp pinned against the cage. Kopp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrone Watkins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kopp shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watkins as he avoids it easily.

He's pushed Kopp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Watkins scores with a takedown into Kopp's guard. Kopp is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Watkins works Kopp's body with a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kopp showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Watkins.

Kopp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Watkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kopp is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Watkins looking to control but Kopp is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kopp is looking to get to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watkins wants to control the pace but Kopp is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Kopp prevents Watkins from breaking the clinch. Watkins letting Kopp take a breather here. Kopp has Watkins pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Watkins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kopp drags the fight down to the ground.

Kopp gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. John Kopp seems to be getting the better of the standup. Watkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watkins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kopp clinches. Watkins throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kopp blocks it with crossed arms. Kopp displaying some good clinch control by pressing Watkins up against the cage. Kopp keeps control of Watkins as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kopp drags the fight down to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kopp pulls Watkins in to control the position. Watkins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kopp has control of Watkins's left arm, preventing Watkins from doing any damage. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Watkins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kopp works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kopp tries to land a sweep but no joy. Watkins decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kopp dives in and grabs Watkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Watkins pushes down on Kopp's head and hops out.

Watkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kopp swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kopp escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Watkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tyrone Watkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! John Kopp is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Watkins preventing the sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! John Kopp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kopp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
