Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Nacho Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Flannery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into the arena with My Salsa blaring out of the sound system. Patrick Flannery has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El Nacho Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Flannery! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Flannery. Sanchez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Flannery.
Flannery closes the distance looking to clinch and Sanchez counters with a single leg into guard. Flannery didn't expect that. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Flannery is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Flannery trying to control the position here. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Flannery keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up because El Nacho Sanchez just wasn't active enough. Flannery shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sanchez's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sanchez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Flannery is looking for a sweep. Sanchez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flannery can do anything to dispel that myth. Sanchez tries to pass to full mount but Flannery defends it. Flannery keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez throwing shots but Flannery is blocking nicely. Sanchez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Flannery sees it coming and defends easily. Flannery is looking to improve his position.
Flannery is trying is best to control the position here. Let's hope that Flannery has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez prevents Flannery from improving his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Flannery moves into full guard.
Flannery looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there. Flannery is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Flannery keeps moving. Flannery trying to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Flannery tries to hold on but Sanchez postures up. Sanchez with the ground and pound from mount. Sanchez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Flannery is looking to escape. Flannery is looking to improve his position but Sanchez isn't that keen on the idea. Sanchez looking to ground and pound but Flannery is blocking nicely. Flannery is looking to improve his position but Sanchez isn't that keen on the idea. Sanchez throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flannery is trying to escape the mount.
Sanchez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Flannery can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Flannery just holding on. Sanchez avoids the attempt from Flannery to control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Flannery can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flannery holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sanchez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Flannery slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flannery looking to score a takedown here. Sanchez is defending well but Flannery drives through and ends up in Sanchez's guard. Flannery pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now. Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Flannery pushes his legs off easily.
Sanchez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Flannery tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard. Flannery trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Sanchez manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez trying to control but Flannery is working from the bottom. Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sanchez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez won't allow Flannery to sweep him here. Flannery is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Flannery wants to sweep here but Sanchez controlling him for the moment. Flannery controlling Sanchez's posture. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Patrick Flannery. Flannery tries to clinch up and Sanchez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Flannery's guard now. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Flannery keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez being controlled here momentarily. Flannery looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Flannery really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Flannery works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Flannery tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Flannery is keeping the position. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Flannery is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We're going to have a standup here because El Nacho Sanchez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Flannery shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Flannery closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Flannery wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Flannery is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Flannery tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Flannery tries for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well. Flannery tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sanchez tries to buck Flannery off but Flannery is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Flannery's best efforts. Flannery content to control rather than advance. Flannery is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Flannery. Flannery is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flannery is keen to just control but Sanchez is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Patrick Flannery will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Flannery shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanchez but Sanchez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sanchez tries to sprawl but Flannery drives through with a takedown into half guard. Sanchez is trying to stand back up but Flannery is controlling him
Sanchez is pressing down on Flannery's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Flannery from controlling successfully. Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Flannery advances to half guard. Flannery is keen to just control but Sanchez is a slippery customer. Sanchez is trying to stand back up but Flannery is controlling him
Flannery content to control rather than advance. El Nacho Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Flannery is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Flannery takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flannery wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working. Sanchez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flannery is working away from the top position though. Sanchez is staying active underneath Flannery, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Flannery seems to be working for a kimura but Sanchez defends the submission attempt. Flannery looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sanchez manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Flannery must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Flannery advances to half guard. Flannery looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Flannery stalling away here and it's allowed Sanchez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Flannery stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez wants to hit a switch here but Flannery passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sanchez there! Sanchez has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Flannery's lack of action.
Sanchez is not content to let Flannery control the position. Sanchez striking from the bottom. Sanchez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Flannery postures up.
Flannery trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Flannery stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Flannery from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flannery pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now. Flannery drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sanchez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sanchez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sanchez! Check out the look on Sanchez's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Flannery struggling a bit here. Flannery tries to improve position but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sanchez trying to control the position but Flannery is working away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Flannery is avoiding damage well.
And that's the end of the fight! Patrick Flannery comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Flannery has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
