Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Papa Shango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Papa Shango! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Johnson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Shango is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back! I really don't envy Johnson right now.

Johnson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shango can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson looks gassed! Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shango is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shango's back instead. Shango is in bad spot here.
Shango is trying to get back to his feet but Johnson has full control of the position and if anything, Shango has just worked his way into a worse spot. Shango is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Johnson 's hooks. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shango tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Shango avoids a series of strikes thrown by Johnson.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shango tries to buck Johnson off but he can't manage it. Johnson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Shango defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Johnson. Shango is looking to improve his position but Johnson isn't that keen on the idea. Johnson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Johnson raining down shots from the mount! Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shango's face.

Shango is rocked! Johnson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Oh Shango is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Shango on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shango tries to get out of the position. Johnson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
