The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beastmaster tries for a takedown but Pony sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tunturi Pony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beastmaster finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pony uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Beastmaster has time to react.

Beastmaster is looking to work some ground and pound but Pony has wrist control.
Pony is trying to hold Beastmaster in close to prevent damage but Beastmaster has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beastmaster is stalling here. Pony is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Beastmaster seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pony has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
